Re: Update Tor Browser Launcher failure
Bonjour, I would have thought that the problem, after the updates, would have been solved. But it hasn't. I took a look in the Flatpak support on GitHub. You have to subscribe. I don't feel like it. I'm asking if I shouldn't uninstall Flatpak entirely and reinstall it. Or switch to Firejail. To + Le...

Otherwise, the menu was at the bottom, now it's at the top of the screen. I don't remember how I selected this desktop configuration.

Re: XFCE no longer starts due to corrupted deposits
To be more precise, after the update, the update manager displayed a red banner with a sentence explaining that the repository or repositories were corrupted and that it was necessary to change repositories. Using the Software Sources application, I changed the address of the mirror sites. For the P...

Re: Linux Mint Debian 5 does not boot
This time, Linux boot and kill two birds with one stone. LibreWolf is working again. However the expected kernel version was 5.10.0.179-1 and the installed version is 5.10.0.23 (.amd64). The screen resolution isn't good, but it's not from today. maybe it's the driver, but I'm not sure. Regards, Leloup

Re: Linux Mint Debian 5 does not boot
Bonjour and Thank you for answer At this time, the kernel version is 5.10.0.21(64bit). However, when a new kernel is loaded, there's no guarantee that it will crash. Perhaps I should note the new version with the update. Now, the update proposes the version 5.10.179-1 but nothing says that it's the ...

Protection against computer crime
Bonjour, On my Windows 10 PC, I made a mistake. Due to flu fatigue perhaps or lack of vigilance, I clicked in an e-mail on a link from a computer criminal probably generating phishing or something reprehensible like that. Fortunately, Windows cut the connection immediately with an explanation of wha...

Bonjour, For your information, after the last kernel update, LMD5 does not boot. I reloaded the hard disk image with the old kernel version. That works again. In addition, LibreWolf no longer works, while Tor does. I don't know if this web browser is still maintained. Regards, Leloup (In English: Th...

Re: How to make a backup of the hard disk?
Bonjour and Thank you for your messages and helps. The signs of weakness were due to hard disk problems following a cyclic redundancy check or CRC. As a result, backups of various kinds failed because of this CRC problem. In addition, I noticed that the external hard disk used for the backup must be...
