Re: Internet wifi slow - Linux Mint 18.3 - HP Envy 6

You can try to disable IPV6 as standard connection in /etc/gai.conf open as root and edit with your text editor. you will see some parameters that you can change :) you can also disable telemetry on firefox type on...

Re: Latest hack on Win 10 users.
What I really like about the windows is the total confidence that this system gives you all the time. YOU Need help ... microsoft guarantees full refund when you buy a new computer. Just because your computer is old ... so you've already been banned. The profit margin of the micro is not to se...

Re: The future of the PC OS ?
For me the future of the operating system has to be not in the utility but in the visual form that one works. The operating system of today is already quite practical in the utility with the visualization of all the open windows. The visual replacement of the standard css background with any transpa...

Re: Cats and harmonicas
There have been many studies on the melodic effects on people as well as on animals. It has been proved that the surrounding parasitic noise in our reality needs rational hits through melodic associations. This induces not only a better self-esteem but also influences the emotional state for the bet...

Nautilus GTK decoration buttons on left side
In cinnamon you are able to set up on system settings > windows the left side title bar buttons to give MacOS look and style. But dont work with nautilus. The solution is giving specific order to all gtk applications with this command on terminal gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.interface gtk-deco...

Re: Google Proposing HDCP Content Protection Be Added To Intel's Linux Graphics Driver
The simplest solution would be to include a protection code to be enforced by requirement in all internet browsers. For example any transfer that does not contain digital signature would be erased directly from the computer roasted 24 hours. I think it would be a nice measure even for those who woul...

Re: What made you switch to Linux Mint?
I simply hate configurations imposed by companies that insist that when buying their software they have to obey criteria that are only advantageous for these companies. The RPC project is an authentic hoax as the existing purpose may differ from the official one represented by the company. IF THERE ...

Tnkx to all of you to clearly my doubts.
It seems to be in fact microsoft standard implements in all commercial network subscription suppliers.
What is strange due the fact i am not obbliged to be in love with rpc and smb.
This tools should be optional and not to be included in linux.

Kazam is an old friend but many dont know what power it brings. With kazam you are able to record your screen as all normal desktop recorders but you can also specify what window or application you want record to. This feature is great for monitoring tools and at the same time you can use your mint ...
