Re: How to get maximized windows ?

I'm not on Mint KDE right now but the procedure would be... Right click on the title bar. Go to > Advanced > Special Application Settings... Click on the > Size & Position tab. Check mark > Maximized horizontally and vertically. Choose > Force for both drop down menus. Select > Yes to the right of ...

Re: latest version for this old computer?

LXDE edition should run well on that machine. Latest release is 12. You can download it from here.

System requirements:
  • x86 processor
  • 256 MB RAM
  • 5 GB of disk space
  • Graphics card capable of 800×600 resolution
  • CD/DVD drive or USB port

Re: mint 13 vs LMDE

I think you should pick Maya. It will receive updates till April 2017.

Yes, Maya receives updates for both Cinnamon and Thunderbird. Well, the repository has the latest version of Thunderbird (version 12). And you can always use PPA to keep your software up-to-date.

Re: Linux Mint 9 "Isadora" RC released!

I'm using Isadora - Gnome RC (i386) since it's release & I've encountered some kind of issues. Which are: Very often the panel doesn't load when I boot. Some applications' icons of the system tray don't match with the panel. Nautilus context menu contains "Open as administrator" when I select an ite...

Re: Attention: Clem! Creating Linux Mint LoCo Team

Thanks for the link. If I understand it right, LoCo's are just Ubuntu-speciic LUGs (http://lug.org.uk/) but for a whole country/state? If that's the case, then if I were doing it, I'd just setup a LUG, as it has broader appeal, which makes the meetings more interesting, and is easier to organise si...
