Re: dbus-x11 - Issue upgrading to 19

I ran into the same issue. I used dpkg to configure dbus-x11 as explained here, but then apt install -f did nothing (0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1913 not upgrade) . So I ran apt upgrade and apt dist-upgrade and then reboot to finish the installation. For the record, I ran mintupgr...

Re: EPSON XP-235 / Image Scan v3

Hi everyone; I have an Epson XP-345 and have the exact same problem than ktziotis: I installed the Epson Driver for scanner (imagescan-bundle-linuxmint-18-1.3.23.x64) and ImageScan runs well; detect the scanner; is able to perform a preview (so I can see on my screen the image I am scanning) but whe...

Re: Very long (3hours30min!) boot on a fresh install

I disabled legacy and I'm now back to UEFI but that doesn't change anything. I tried with secure boot enabled and disabled. If you see anything else I can test please tell me. I also try acpi_osi=Linux but that doesn't work. I'll stay with the 4.4 kernel at the moment. For the record, I opened a bug...

Re: Very long (3hours30min!) boot on a fresh install

So, the problem is indeed coming from ACPI. After searching for that message error, I saw users saying it arrives with the 4.8 kernel. I installed a 4.4 kernel and... I boot normally! I then tried to boot on the 4.13.10 kernel editing the command and adding acpi=off and... I boot normally! But now m...

Very long (3hours30min!) boot on a fresh install

I just installed Linux Min 18.2 x64 Cinnamon on a HP Pavilion Notebook 15 with a i3 and 6GB of Ram. The boot is extremely long: systemd-analyze Startup finished in 6.666s (firmware) + 9.704s (loader) + 7.326s (kernel) + 3h 30min 14.154s (userspace) = 3h 30min 37.850s I tried with newer kernel (even ...
