Audio goes on a second too late
Hello! I've recently noticed a second or sometimes several seconds of delay in the audio going on after starting a video on youtube or pressing play in Bitwig Studio. This doesn't always happen but seems to be happening most of the time now. I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 sound card. In Bitwig S...

Re: Low battery warning too late and laptop fan problem
That's a good point MikeNovember.
But I do have relatively new batteries, two of them. And this problem has sustained for maybe couple of years. So I doubt that it has anything to do with my batteries getting too old.

Low battery warning too late and laptop fan problem
Hello! First problem: During the last few version of Linux Mint I've always hated that the warning for low battery comes right before my laptop goes to Suspend (?) or whatever mode. I can never be quick enough to plug it in even if I'm ready and quick about it. And as a side note, there seems to be ...

Program installation didn't create main menu icon as usual
Hi! Just installed Mint 20.1 Ulyssa Mate and installed Bitwig 3.3.7 through a deb installer as usual, but this time it didn't create the menu instance in the main menu. I've used this very same installer before and it should do that. Rant section (tl:dr frustration): I've come across this so many ti...

Re: No channels on Hypnotix
Hi Here's what I got out-of-the-box: Screenshot at 2021-04-15 15-07-24.png Screenshot at 2021-04-15 15-07-09.png I tried adding a new provider with the same information as yours but it just doesn't add anything after I click OK. I was able to add a couple of channels through iptvcat.net though. I'm ...

No channels on Hypnotix
Hi! I just installed Mint 20.1 Ulyssa Mate on my desktop and in the New Features section it says: By default Hypnotix comes with a free IPTV provider called Free-IPTV So are there suppose to be some channels in there cause there's none for me. And installing new ones seems to be way too complicated ...

Bitwig Studio stuck in maximized window
Hi! For quite some time now Bitwig Studio has been stuck in maximized size on my screen. I'm not able to resize it or even move it with Alt+drag or anything. Bitwig support just replied that this must be a Linux Mint problem and not Bitwig. No other program does this in my Mint. It became stuck when...

New windows appear behind previous ones
Hello! This has been an issue for maybe a year now. Many times but not always new windows open behind my currently open one. For instance now while having my Firefox maximized on screen I click the update icon in the lower right corner and it opened it behind and only shows the Update Manager in the...

Re: Back In Time broke my system - Cannot login to Mint
Well now it makes much more sense. Thanks for explaining this!
It would be very helpful to have a message saying something like: "Disk space too low for Graphical Interface - try removing some files. You can do this through the command line or Linux Mint USB Live Environment"

Re: Back In Time broke my system - Cannot login to Mint
I deleted all the backup files BackInTime had made and everything's back to normal. Huh... I didn't know zero disk space could be so dramatic!

Re: Back In Time broke my system - Cannot login to Mint
Hi and thanks for your reply! During this time I figured out I actually could see the partition and succesfully saved my files from there. My last backup is from two days ago which isn't too bad for how it usually is. And this is exactly why I was trying BackInTime out, cause I wanted to automate it...

LM 19.2 removed Bitwig Studio
Hello! Linux Mint 19.2 removed a folder for Bitwig Studio 1.3 from /opt/bitwig-studio. In fact the whole /opt is gone. Is this something that is supposed to happen? This must've happened during some update. I don't know how to check which update might've been the culprit, but I noticed that in my Ti...

Canon MG3500 series and AGFA e25 Snapscan stopped working
Hello! So I've used my Canon MG3500 series printer and AGFA e25 Snapscan scanner on this very same computer just fine before but now they're not working anymore. The printer state says: Stopped - File "/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertogutenprint.5.2" not available: No such file or directory An...

Re: Brightness buttons not working on HP Elitebook Folio 9470m
I have installed the newest kernel and all the lower level updates as well but there has been no solution to this problem. It's not hard to live without but I do sometimes miss this functionality. I might move on to a newer version of Mint before this is fixed but it might benefit someone else as we...

Did that. Didn't help.
Should I re-install the driver? Do I need it?

Re: Brightness buttons not working on HP Elitebook Folio 9470m
Kernel: 4.15.0-29-generic x86_64 (64 bit gcc: 5.4.0) I've now installed the new kernel and rebooted. It still doesn't work. I should note that when pressing the key combinations it does bring up the pop up for brightness on the top right of the screen but doesn't adjust it. And also the other FN com...
