Soundcore Q20 Headset mic issue
I recently bought a Life Q20 headset. The sound is great but the Mint doesn't seem to see the Mic. It doesn't show at all in sound settings. Seems like other people are also having this issue as seen here: https://community.anker.com/t/soundcore-life-q20-and-mic-not-working-on-linux/80742/5 That art...

Adjusting MTU from 0 to 2
I'm using Linux Mint 20 Ulyana and I can putty into a server no issues. However when I try to SSH into the server on mint I get a connection closed issue. I did some searching and found this site: https://fitzcarraldoblog.wordpress.com/tag/mtu/ It's saying that the value of /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_mt...

Re: Painfully Slow Bootup and Firefox Launch
Does anyone know what the ~/.Private folder is for? It's taking up a large chunk of my drive? A listing looks like this: drwxrwxr-x 2 arimakidd arimakidd 4096 Oct 17 2020 ECRYPTFS_FNEK_ENCRYPTED.FWajpVntIXukQ-TNAnE..AhsC87kvKN4SODR0Ku3DBywdCeINU-Qsd1Pk--- What is this stuff? privateFolder.png

Painfully Slow Bootup and Firefox Launch
I'm using X-Cinnamon Desktop, 12 GB RAM and i5 processor and OS is Linux Mint 20 Ulyana. I am running a dual boot and Mint is on 0.5TB. Now for the painful stats. Re: Zoom is giving ascii issues
Okay don't worry about this. Had to download the *.deb file on zoom and setup it up. One thing to note though, their instructions are a bit off, they advised to install the *.deb package using apt but I had to use dpkg to install. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/204206269-Installing-Zoom-o...

Zoom is giving ascii issues
I tried using zoom. Usually you click the link, then hit install and the interface comes up(on windows machine) on my work laptop. However when I hit the link, this is what I got: zoomIssue.png My personal laptop is Linux and I'm using Ulyana 20. What should I do? I even tried to join the meeting us...

Re: Changing login image [SOLVED]
Okay the link pointed me in the right direction. Whatever image you want to use, just copy it to the location:
Reboot, and boom. It works.

Re: Changing login image
In /usr/share/gnome-shell/ the only folder is "search-providers". Assuming you didn't want met to create a 'theme' folder and expected it to be there, I'll have a look at the other solution you provided.

I fully agree with you when it comes to AppImages. I use an appimage for Joplin notes and it is better. I will have a look at ksnip. Thanks for the recommendation.

[SOLVED] Where is Shutter?
Just upgraded from Tina to Ulyana. I can't install Shutter. The ppa:linuxuprising/shutter doesn't work. How can I get shutter installed on Ulyana? If it's not possible, what's the next best thing? I found 'shutter' to be so simple and to the point..

Re: Slowing to a crawl
@Pjotr I have done a clean install. I must admit, for now things are moving quickly. Firefox takes 26 seconds to launch. This is good for me. I haven't re-installed all my ppa's but most of the applications are re-installed, all my files are back as I used the bakcup tool for this. Pity I didn't use...
