You can investigate the cause for the delay by checking the system log files. You can search the forum to learn how to do that.

Another guess: was BIOS reset or changed in any way? If your mobo's bios has a fast boot option, change it to 'not use fast boot' and reboot. Maybe the EFI partition if it is there, will be recognized.

I had a similar issue solved by disabling Fast Boot in the BIOS.

Just tried to download, all images and locations fail to download, firefox reports 'failed'.
