You say you are able to scan using xsane would this be using a usb connection or wireless?

I have a Brother MFC-L2740DW and recall when setting up initially with LM 18.3 the Brother site specificly mentioned when setting up for Wireless it is best to initiate with a USB connection first. OK, just during the restart a message was shown indication pages on the Skrooge pages had been altered and asked if l should like to maintain them in the current state which l selected NO and after the reboot all was as l had previously set it.

After applying updates from the update manager is it necessary to reboot in order for the updates to function?

Thanks Smurfos, that gives me something new to play with! In the Skrooge Program there is text in the side menus and menu bar that is very faint and l am attempting to get more contrast. Clic on the contact you wish removed, click on their ID/Name (Hi lighted at top of page), clic on the little pencil to edit, scroll to bottom of their Profile page to remove contact. You may have to reboot.

I am using the Skrooge Financial app and have been wanting to personalize the colours of the screen desktop but am not certain where to effect the changes. Ok l have just installed 19.3 and have also just seen the Flash update come thru and loaded it. Wanting to keep my installation clean would l be best to just uninstall with Software Manager?
I would appreciate Pjoter responding as his posts seem to indicate we should keep it .

I'd say so, at least if your wireless is working properly. For the future, a suggestion: a more descriptive topic title will probably result in more/better help. In this case, maybe something like 'Error message: wireless driver not working properly'. After all, half of our new members are 'noobies...
