7. Stop Google from tracking you Not really ... see (1). There are various ways to fingerprint you. I'm still a bit puzzled over what protection the VPN is providing -- Don't be, it doesn't in your intended use case, redirecting traffic. Re: problem creating bashrc alias

I use .bash_aliases, all aliases in a separate file.

To load new aliases without reboot

Code: Select all

. .bash_aliases
Instead of . can also do

Code: Select all

source .bash_aliases
Example:

Code: Select all

alias df='df --sync -hT'

Some think so: http://www.distinti.com/solution.html The Distinti Solution requires that we break the light barrier by a factor of 500. Physicists say that this is impossible; but every time a physicist has stated the something was impossible, an engineer found a way. http://www.distinti.com/about.h...

Re: OpenVPN: Don't redirect everything through tunnel

Hi, 1. I think it would be best to search specifically on Debian recources/howto/wiki/forum for autostart. With regards to mounting samba shares, you can use an --up and --down script for that, see --up cmd, --down cmd, --script-security level and Order of Execution in manual: https://community.open...

Re: How can a linux mint ping another linux mint on a subnet?

These two hosts are on the same subnet so the router is not involved, in other words they communicate directly.
Ping is succesfull, have you tried to disable the firewall of the host running Apache?
Otherwise fix Apache.

Re: OpenVPN: Don't redirect everything through tunnel

Hi, To be honest, I have little experience using systemd, I do it like described here: https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn/blob/master/distro/systemd/README.systemd Same for clients. That way I have full control over the config, so I do not use Network Manager. I also use .bash_aliases to stop/start ...

Re: OpenVPN: Don't redirect everything through tunnel

Hi, IP forwarding wasn't enabled, I enabled it now. ("sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1" enabled it temporary, for testing, will make it persistent now I guess) Any time you need traffic to flow between different interfaces, in this case between enp1s0 and tun0, you need ip_forward enabled. I didn't s...

Re: OpenVPN: Don't redirect everything through tunnel

Let's first check the server: Add to it's config log /var/log/openvpn.log route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 push "route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0" and change verb 3 to verb 4 Do a full restart of the OpenVPN server and post the /var/log/openvpn.log 1. Is ip_forward enabled? cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_f...

Re: OpenVPN: Don't redirect everything through tunnel

Ok, step by step.

In server config file change

Code: Select all

;topology subnet
to

Code: Select all

topology subnet
The LAN where the server resides, is it 192.168.10.0 or 192.168.122.0?
Also post a drawing of your network topology.
