Assuming you have an nvidia card and have the nvidia drivers installed. Make sure you have the nvidia-settings package installed. If not, install it like this. sudo apt-get install nvidia-settings There is a gui option to start nvidia-settings, but you want to run it as root so that you can save the...

Sure is, it's called rdesktop.


From a terminal just type this.

rdesktop windowsmachine -g 1280x1024 &


Obviously "windowsmachine" is the dns name or ip address of the windows machine you want to connect to. The -g option allows you to choose the resolution you want to connect with.
