Re: Ultrawide-Monitor: Snap windows in 3 area

It works with cinnamon. I am using it :) (LM 19.3)
Ex: lua-script function: get_window_name() or get_application_name(), ASO. :) Consult manuals.
For mouse: install xdotool and you will have (i.e.) xdotool getmouselocation
Good luck!

Re: Emergency! Home folders & files deleted by Pinguy Builder

Re: Reinstall wordpress and start over

Hi marcia, I am thinking that maybe is a good idea to go with a virtualbox machine wordpress installation - also from bitnami because it seams it suits you well - https://bitnami.com/stack/wordpress/virtual-machine , to solve your project and then to redo your computer when time doesn't put pressure...

Re: Reinstall wordpress and start over

hi marcia, I've read your previous post and now I understand how you've done it. it's via bitnami wordpress script, so please ignore my previous answer because that one applies to a "classical" instalation :) OK, so I've searched on bitnami site (and I suggest you do the same) and I found 2 answers ...

Re: can't log into Linux from Windows 10

first, hope you have created a samba user and assigned it a password. usually this is your linux user and password, like $ smbpasswd -a <user> next, form windows you have to connect at IP\<user>. suppose your user is "myuser" and your linux machine IP is 192.168.0.10, if you open explorer you have t...

Re: Reinstall wordpress and start over

you don't need to restart apache.
just erase wp instance (files), enter in mysql (mariadb), select wp database and drop all tables, or drop wp database, recreate it and grant a user privileges on that new database, update wp files again and reinstall it.

Re: Personal "cloud"

So basically what you need is a backup storage on your premises which you will turn it on and off depending on your needs. This, on top of the fact is an (very) old computer, may lead us to the conclusion of installing on it a light server (I have already mentioned Debian for which default install e...
