Re: Linux Networking with SSH

I just want to mention sshfs, SSH-filesystem.

Re: When a program freezes...

Please, know stuff before you answer. The "app" that kills stuff on the desktop is called xkill. It will turn your mouse to a X or some other things depending on your cursor theme. When you then click on a window it will send the terminal command to kill that specific application. More pre...

Re: Howto install fonts in Linux Mint Elyssa?

That did not answer his questions. :P To install any font you can do two things. If you're the only one going to use the fonts you can install them on a user-basis. Just create a folder in your home-folder and name it .fonts and copy your fonts into that folder. Then restart X (ctrl+alt+backspace). ...

Re: FTP to my webspace

It will linger in the sidepanel in nautilus so you can just double-click on it to connect. If you're...

I believe it's a python-script. Which does not need compiling. Python is dynamic.

Re: Faster booting Mint with Texas Flood Boot System

It's experimental, what is there to expect? Stability? :P From what I've read, it looks very interresting and promising. There's been no real progress in the development of anything like this for the last years, it's about time. And just imagine when this sytem goes final, combined with the reading ...
