Why 5.4.0-26? Whats special about it?
It is the default stable kernel was introduced with Ubuntu 20.04.

This works fine with Linux give it a try and tell us. Where sdx your USB. This command will delete everything in the USB.

And check what other errors shows:

Do you have Timeshift or other backup to roll back?
I noticed your system has many other repos which means your system in the beginning was working well and after the adding of the repos started to have problem.

The fsck you have to run from live medium concerning your unmounted / partition.
You can find it with the command

 lsblk -f
Say that your partition is on sda2.

sudo fsck -y /dev/sda2
Run this command one more time and then reboot.
