Re: Priority of Notifications

Okay, this worked, thank you very much!

Once you configure BAMS right and install the needed libraries, it pops up over full screen and also audibly notifies you.

Thanks for your time :)

Re: Priority of Notifications

I run Cinnamon (that's the desktop environment - right?).

I stumbled upon BAMS, but iirc, LM already includes this feature (but not with a high enough priority).
But nevertheless, I will give it a shot, thanks for your answer!

[SOLVED] Priority of Notifications

Hi all,

I often run into the problem on my laptop that I run out of charge in my battery while I am watching e.g. YouTube on full screen. I would really like to avoid that but the full screen feature suppresses the warning notifications.

Is there any way to manage priorities?

Thanks in advance!

Re: SD Card Filesystems

Thank you! I thought about a driver issue as well, but since other cards seem to work, I'm at a bit of a loss. I will try what happens when I use an external card reader, but I am also really curious what the actual problem is. thank you for your time and let's hope someone can shed some light on th...

Re: SD Card Filesystems

Sadly, I don't have an external card reader. I might get one though. I have three 16GB cards for my camera, all show the same "symptoms". My guess was that the camera prefaces the partition with some kind of gibberish that LM does not recognize. I also tried formatting the card to fat32 on linux, wh...

SD Card Filesystems

Hi, I recently ran into a problem with my SD card reader. When I try to read data off of my camera's SD Card (Canon Powershot), my laptop has problems recognizing the card. Disks says that the partition has an unknown filesystem while GParted throws an I/O error. I'm using LM 19.3 Cinnamon on a Leno...

Re: Lenovo Thinkpad no WiFi under 18.3

Can anyone help me with my problem in the makefile? This problem pops up several times for different thinkpads across several forums, but they all refer to the same solution, the one I quoted earlier. It seems to have worked for those in the original threads though. Any idea on why it doesn't work f...

Re: Lenovo Thinkpad no WiFi under 18.3

Thank you for the tips, I think it pointed me in the right direction. I found this Download driver directory from this repo:https://github.com/endlessm/linux/tr...less/rtl8821ce. You can do it by this link: https://minhaskamal.github.io/DownGi...less/rtl8821ce Unpack zip archive. Change the Makefile...

Lenovo Thinkpad no WiFi under 18.3

Hi everyone, I'm new to Linux and just finished setting up my new Thinkpad with Linux Mint 18.3 and now have the following problem. My wireless adapter seems to not be working. I assume it has something to do with a missing driver, but that's just a guess. In the Driver Manager, there is just one sl...
