Re: Trying to install steam to different disk + use firejail

Hi. First things first, your HDD has to be either ext4 or ntfs. (This won't work for fat32.) The procedure is simple enough. Just use the --private option for firejail to point to the HDD directory. 1. Make the directory in the HDD. 2. Run the firejail command with the --private=PATH-TO-DIRECTORY-IN...

Re: QT5 problem in Linux Mint 19

Hi.
Do the following:
1. Change the style to whatever you want from the dropdown list.
2. Click the 'Interface' tab.
3. Hold down the 'Shift' key and press 'Tab' 3 times.
4. Release the 'Shift' key and press 'Enter/Return' key.

Hope it works.

Re: macbook pro with 18.3

Hi. I suspect that the 24 second gray screen is the grub-boot menu, so the time delay should actually be 30 seconds. (The default) This screen generally offers the different boot options like the normal boot or recovery/advanced options and such. You are not able to see any text in the gray screen? ...

Re: Linux Mint and Windows 7 Dual Boot Grub Problem "error: not a valid root device"

A few queries: 1. Your Windows is EFI installed? 2. Did you enable Legacy support (from bios) before installing Linux? 3. The 'sda5 fat32 EFI boot Linux' was manually made by you and set as EFI Partition? While installing an EFI system, Mint automatically detects the EFI Boot partition and sets it u...

Re: Error mounting-mount the volume- 'ro' mount option.

Did you try mounting read only using 'mount -ro'?

Code: Select all

mkdir ~/mnt
sudo mount -t ntfs -o ro /dev/sdb2 ~/mnt
