For what reason firefox is not vanilla for mint, ubuntu?

I noticed one interesting detail, firefox in Mint special for mint, and in ubuntu the same thing "firefox for ubuntu" in about screen. Why distro maintainers did this? I hope this is not the same story as recently facebook user data collecting/stealing scandal...

Yes, i noticed that, i already know how to change managers and in that time when program says it runs "as superuser" when i change to different manager that text is disappeared.

Checked, it's clear "as superuser" in the title of the window is a bug. Actually process running in user mode. More interesting that bug appears not all the time.

Strange bug, program says it runs "as superuser" when actually it is not

What is going on is clearly visible in screenshoot, in the same time vlc is not runs under root but runs from my username (i check it via system manager). Vlc starts after double clicked on the media file. P.S same bug did emerged few times ago with the different programs all the other time programs...
