installing Mint 11 using mint4win

I just downloaded the new Mint 11 release, (64 Bit DVD) and I noticed there isn't a Mint4win exe file included on the DVD...Is this version not going to be supported by Mint4win anymore, or will the file be added at a later time?....Does anybody have any information on this at all?

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to install linux Mint 11 RC using Mint4win? I see Mint4Win on the DVD, but when I click on it there is no option to install the RC within Windows...only a full install. Can someone tell me if it's possible?

Re: Problems With DVD Rom Drive Mounting

No Offense taken on the comment.....I really think it has something to do with the RAM disk itself....I put a CD or a DVD into the drive, and I can accees it without any problems. It's when I put in a RAM disk is where I get the error. I only use the Ram disk to store photos and music on...so It's n...

Re: Need some help

Thanks for the reply, and the offer to help, but I just ended up re-installing anyways. It was a fresh install, so no data was needed to be recovered . And I was using the Mint updater, and not Synaptic when the system just locked up! Thanks again for the help.

You need to enable "sub-pixel antialiasing". If you are using GNOME, you can find the preference in your “Systemâ€￾ menu under Preferences --> Fonts.(Not in Gnome so I may be incorrect where it is) Also did you run sudo fc-cache -fv after msttcorefonts was installed. WOW!!! that did it ...

Thanks for the help Carlos, I did install the MS fonts, and while they are a little better, they're still not that great. Maybe because they are not using clear type.......thanks again for the help.

Fonts in Firefox

Hey All, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to get the web page fonts in Firefox to look like the fonts when I run Firefox in Windows. I'm using Linux Mint 4.0 Daryna BETA 021, with a screen resolution of 1280x1024, and a 19" LCD, and the fonts in Firefox kind of look crappy! The font...

Thanks for the welcome :) I know I shouldn't be using sudo, but that was the only way that I could make the settings stay.... As far as the Nvidia tool being dangerous to use?....Well I had no idea there were issues with it. Maybe I just got lucky, but things are good with my Mint Linux so far.........

Hey all, I just installed Linux Mint (Cassandra) and I'm having a little problem with my resolution. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and when I go into the Nvidia settings, I see that it recognized my monitor correctly, but when I change the resolution to 1280X1024, it will work fine and I save it...
