Re: Nemo - Windowed File Selection

@xenopeek Thank you very much for being patient with me and responding to each one of my posts. I fully understand that you are right that it is best to test things on the latest version, I have just been holding off from installing Linux Mint 19 until it is out of beta mode. Once the beta testing i...

Re: Firefox - Changing Hidden Mozilla Folder Name

Hey thank you guys so much for all the responses. Took me a little while to get things to work properly but I think I got it. Unfortunately it was not without some casualties, I ended up deleting one of my .mozilla folders by accident which contained all my settings :x I held off mentioning that I d...

Desktop Icons - Align To Grid Mode - Possible Bug

Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon (64Bit) I have a feeling I am going to be getting yelled at for some of my posts, hopefully not. I apologize in advance if I am not doing this correctly. I have seen a post requesting this feature, but this is a post regarding how it is functioning. If you set your desktop i...

Nemo - Allow Escape Key To Close Search Mode

In Nemo if you enter the search mode, it may be nice to be able to use the "Esc" escape key to be able to exit when no longer needed.
I automatically try this every time even though I know it does not work :)

Thank You

Firefox - Changing Hidden Mozilla Folder Name

Firefox is linked and stores user settings to a hidden folder called ".mozilla" When trying to run two versions of Firefox, both versions are linked to the same ".mozilla" folder which causes issues. My question is, is it possible to change the name of this ".mozilla" folder and re-link Firefox to t...

Re: Where To Download Chromium tar.bz2

I apologize for the confusion, to be honest all the different methods of using programs with Linux has always confused me. @karichen is correct, that is what I am looking for. For a while I was trying to be able to figure out how to download actual compressed versions of various Linux programs and j...

Re: How To Download Chrome For Windows Using Linux Mint Firefox

Thank you for your reply, ahh they hid it all the way at the bottom of the page :D At first when I tried this it was only allowing me to download a 1.1mb "online installer" version, found out there is a separate page that looks identical, for downloading the standalone version. I get that I am proba...

How To Download Chrome For Windows Using Linux Mint Firefox

When I browse to the Chrome website, it recognizes that I have Linux OS and only seems to give me the option to download Chrome for Linux. Usually sites offer the opt...

Where To Download Chromium tar.bz2

Probably a foolish question, but I can't seem to figure out where is the official site to download a tar.bz2 compressed archive file of the latest version of Chromium (64 Bit) for LInux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon (64 Bit)? I do not want to download it from the terminal or software managers, I am looking for...

Re: Firefox - Issues with loading Youtube videos in certain ways

Thank you for your response but a speed test will not really prove anything for me. As mentioned, when I load Youtube from regular links it loads up in an instant, no speed issues, it is just when I perform the items in the "WHERE ISSUE OCCURS" section of my original post. I am not sure what is goin...

Re: Firefox - Issues with loading Youtube videos in certain ways

@AZgl1500 Thanks again for the response, there is a new version of Quantum out and I just tried it (59.0.3) I must admit it is noticeably faster. I am however still getting the same issues, now just faster :) Videos now load very quick, but when I try any of the "WHERE ISSUES OCCUR" section methods ...

Re: Firefox - Issues with loading Youtube videos in certain ways

@AZgl1500 Thank you for your response, as mentioned I for the most part tried that version, Firefox Quantum 59.0.2, although like I said I have to revisit it soon to run more tests now that I have come across some new information to try out. At the moment I am trying not to update to Firefox Quantum...

I tried UnMHT out with Waterfox but unfortunately was not able to get it to work, I will have to mess around with this a bit more and see if I can. Another user experienced something similar as seen here... https://www.reddit.com/r/waterfox/comments/75q1bj/mht_in_waterfox/ Other member mentions to w...

Thank you guys so much for the response, love to come back to a forum thread I created and see such activity :D True what you guys are saying, when I used the phrasing "safe" I meant it more in regards to specifically if there was a compressed version of Firefox 56 that someone recommended to downlo...
