Re: why upgrade?

Hello: I just moved from LM 18.3 to 19.3. Before upgrading I made a backup copy of my "/home" folder just in case the formatting did not work (it is my first time upgrading, quite a challenge). Home was saved well FYI. So i got my FILES but now I got the issue that my PROGRAMS are all gone. I saved ...

Re: [SOLVED] HP Laserjet P1102 driver problem

Method 2 is for windows and MAC ! .... no linux stuff.... The model number HP Laserjet P1102 does not seem to be correct. Method 1: You may refer to the below links and use the troubleshooters. Check if it lists and helps resolve any issues: Open the Printer troubleshooter: http://h10025.www1.hp.com...

Re: How to assign an IP address to HP P1102W Printer

Hello
In my case I have the same problem... IP is all 0.0.0.0.
I entered my router and on USB devices is nothing, but the printer is on and connected. With lsusb it says the name and 003:015 USB but when entering manually to configure the printer nothing appears :(

Re: No wifi with kernels above 4.15 (LM 18.3)

Thanks folks for the answers. I finally could install Kdenlive via Appimage, do not know why suddenly it did go straight. I will use 4.15 then. I thought that not having up to date kernels might cause kdenlive not to install, but I guess that was not that way. It there a way to update the software f...

Re: OBS says no GPU driver installed or compatible

Hello I got this after the command you posted: "OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 18.0.5" In OBS web page it says 3.2 required. Since 2 months ago I could run OBS with no problems.... Anyway, I am looking at the OBS site to get some prior version but have no clue how to do that. It just gives instruct...

Re: No wifi with kernels above 4.15 (LM 18.3)

Hi ! Yes, I misstyped for sure. I just do not know why I cannot install the appimage (which I think is pretty useful) or the flatpak version of Kdenlive. :( Thanks for any hints. Assuming 4.5 means 5.4, there is no supported kernel from that series. And upstream kernels from kernel.org come with muc...

Re: No wifi with kernels above 4.15 (LM 18.3)

Hello: The issues is that when installing kdenlive I cannot install Appimage (I made the file executable) nor flatpak (nothing happens when clicking on the Kdenlive icon. So I used sudo apt-get install kdenlive. That gives me a program which does not read the proyects I had created with another kden...

Re: TP-LINK TL-WN823N too slow speed

Thanks again for your answers which were kind and helpful. I will read the link you sent. Yes, I am aware WIFI speed is not so fast as a cabled one, not to forget the other channels interfeering of lots of neighbours. Also I think 2m,4 Ghz has less speed than 5 Ghz, but this USB just can do 2,4. See...

Re: TP-LINK TL-WN823N too slow speed

Hello, and thanks for answering. It is V2, I looked it up on the adapter itself. I installed the adapter in Windows 7 in my secind HD in this same PC, and it works well and 15 Mbps velocity aprox. using speedtest.net .
