Re: Video card driver help

you just type your password in then and it should work. you wont see what you are typing. after it's done you will be back at the command prompt. restart and choose your normal grub item and see if it worked. That is what I did and it still came up with the same error. It still will not fully boot.

Re: Video card driver help

Hello: Please try another grub menu (duplicated or not) choice and let us know if you can boot anything LM-related. When was the last time it did boot? Was anything changed since it did boot ok? Don't give up. it will be worth it. I did select both grub menu options for LM and they both came up wit...

Just thought I would give you an update on my problem. I gave up on the video card as I hard to restart my computer 3 times in a 45 minute span due to video issues, such as not being able to use Pidgin and have a video play in the background...all of which worked fine on the on board video, so I dec...

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to upgrade to version 10 from version 8 without having to download version 10 and install it? I am wondering if this could be done through the update manager?

Thanks.

Login issue and question

Hello, A friend of mine has played a joke on me and changed my rot password and has enabled that I need this to log in, I normally just have the computer auto log in for me. Re: Thunderbird first run question

Found a better solution and that was to install Thunderbird 3.0.5. Downloaded it from http://www.mozilla.com, extracted it to my usr/lib folder and got rid of the thunderbird 3.0.4 folder, got rid of the link in the usr/bin folder and changed my menu to point to /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird and...

Re: Domain Blocker question

MY understanding is that is just blocks the resolution of an actual domain name... so for instance... http://www.myspace.com would block all of myspace.. yet http://www.myspace.com/index.php wouldn't work right because that is not a domain: it's a domain and a file, if that makes sense. Hopefully i...

Domain Blocker question

I am trying to use the built in Domain Blocker in Mint 8 and have used a test site, which I copied the URL from the address bar, then clicked on add and pasted the URL in and I am still able to access the site.

I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this takes sometime to work?

Thanks.
