Re: Howto: Install Mint from a USB Pendrive/SD

Just wanted to thank you a lot! The CD/DVD drive in my Laptop computer has a lot of reading problems, and this was both faster, and actually worked! (Large improvement over installing via CD/DVD :wink:)

Go in the menu, and open mintDesktop, in the settings, uncheck "mounted volumes". hit ok and close out. go back to the mint menu open "mintdisk" uncheck "show links for mounted partitions"
next time you restart your computer, you shouldn't have any icons =)

Oh, I'm very sorry, but I didn't know that native english is a 'must have' to get help here. So I'll try to get support in some german groups next time. ..

@clem: thank you!

Post "Levels" Question

Next to your posts, it lists a "level." For example on mine it says "Level 1"
How do you make that level go up? For example how many posts do you need to get to get the next level?
Thanks.

I'm not in the Gnome version at the moment so I can't say exactly about menu restart. Cheers, Mike T i have done that a lot of times and the icon didn't change, don't bother i'll let ...
