Re: How run a script when waking up from sleep?

I installed Linux Mint recently and I am discovering by posting here that sleep is not working well. No, should be instant. You can try: systemctl suspend When I do this command it seems to go to sleep but it then wakes up after a second and I then I see the locking screen. I am running LinuxMint on...

Re: How run a script when waking up from sleep?

This functionality does not seem to be well supported on the hardware I am using. After clicking sleep do I have to wait a certain delay to have my machine to really sleep? Because it seems my machine is not sleeping.

[Solved] How to search in file content?

In Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon using Nemo for search does not search in file content. Is it possible to make it search in file content too?

Re: Grub does not see root partition

I ended up reinstalling /dev/sda4 to make the installer reinstall GRUB. I erased my stuff again I copied from /dev/sdc2 to have my clone again. I think it was not a good idea to clone with dd because it copied the GRUP folder from /etc/grub.d. I decided to use rEFind in the end because it scans ever...

Re: Grub does not see root partition

Sorry but it does not help. It only boots on /dev/sdc2. I need more details. What does that mean? Is the other installation not shown in the GRUB menu? You said update-grub did find it so it should be. I only have entries for /sdc2. The other installation /devsda4 is not showing in GRUB's choices. ...

Re: Grub does not see root partition

I changed my UUID. I edited /etc/fstab from /dev/sda4 to update to the new UUID. I ran update-grub but it is still only booting in /dev/sdc2. update-grub said that it found /dev/sda4 but not /dev/sdc2 that I want too. But it is still only booting in /dev/sdc2. I did these operation while I was on /d...

[Solved] Grub does not see root partition

I have a root partition on /dev/sdc2. I made a copy of the partition using the dd command to copy the partition to /dev/sda4. Then I edited /etc/fstab on /dev/sda4 so the partions listed match with the new drive. But when I try to install Grub using grub-install, Grub only sees /dev/sdc2 and not /de...

Marble mouse does not scroll

My Logitech Marble mouse does not scroll in Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64 . I'm using a previous configuration that was working just fine with Debian but it no longer work with Mint: cat /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-marble.conf Section "InputClass" Identifier "Marble Mouse" Driver "evdev" MatchProduct "Log...
