Re: Slow copy from SSD to USB 3.0 flash drive

As promised I picked up a Patriot Flash Drive Supersonic BOOST USB 3.1 Gen 1 with Reads up to 150.mb/s. Using it Caja I got same results, big burst of speed, then a slow till finally it hit 29 mb/s and there it stayed, or near by. Tried it in Double Commander and Thunar with a bit more speed.

Understanding Github and posting errors

I have installed 19.3 and have noticed something that doesn't work. I have been to Github, read some of the errors posted there, however I do not understand where and how to post errors, and the need for a Github account and to have a trial version of a program, that sounds like I will be eventually...

19.3 Tricia and Timeshift COMMENT

I am currently using 19.3 Tricia and have discovered that Timeshift will work from the menu okay. I use Docky and placed Timeshift app in Docky, however it will not function from Docky. Other than that it worked fine.

Re: Black screen flashing dash hanging on shutdown

If you are not planning to use Mint, I would see if the OS you are going to use has a Forum such as this one, or in a Linux Forum. Also posting in a Windows Forum may get you some answers also. When I did use Windows, it was always on my machine first before any other OS was installed. Linux Grub wo...

Re: Black screen flashing dash hanging on shutdown

If this has been taken as far as it can or you need to full fill another question, I would conclude this one. And repost.

Go back to your original question and write SOLVED at the end of it.

Hope you find your answer.

Re: WiFi Printer that works with Linux Mint ...

Having come from an Epson 810 and 835, Mint found them with no difficulty, I chose a new printer based on price, and purchased a HP 6978, Mint found it no problem. Never experienced Brother products.
BTW, I joined the HP Ink Club @ 3.99 Canadian dollars, and it suits my ink purchasing. :D

Re: How do I make google-chrome open magnet links automatically without prompting for xdg-open?

That's awesome for you :) I prefer google-chrome for a browser and Deluge has features qBitTorrent didn't have last I checked (like the ability to run a headless daemon doing the downloading work, and administrate it through a client GUI on separate machines). To be clear, magnet links *are* workin...

Re: external HDD USB says "can't mount location"

Hello,
If you open Disks from the menu, you should see your external drive listed if it is plugged in.Select your drive. Click on the 2 cogs and you will have a menu. Scroll down to "Edit mount Options", and select "mount at system start-up" .

Please advise me of the results.

Cheers!
