thanks for reply, I ended up with a Brother but different model. Yes I should have thought of that. My HP is driving me nuts!

These printers are priced the same in my location. The 2710 has a larger reduced price.

First time looking at Brother printers. Any model suggestions or opinions on these models?

Also, do after market cartridges work on these models?
Any recommendations for after market brands?

The printer I am replacing is a HP MFP 234dwe. It fails to stay connected on wifi, HP apps won't find it, so not so inclined to go to them.

Maybe Brother, Lexmark, are not so finicky?

I am needing a new printer and looking at the options , HP, Brother, Lexmark, Canon. I don't need color, so monochrome models I will use.

What are the brands that will work for Mint Cinnamon.
