Re: [SOLVED] videos started buffering all the time

thanks @trytip - my problem disappeared - but I need to tell you what I did before applying your fix. I installed a second Mint in unallocated space and had to reconfigure grub in the process. I booted the fresh Mint and found that videos were perfect (as I expected) So then I restarted the "bad" Mi...

[SOLVED] videos started buffering all the time

I have been using Linux Mint 19 without problems with videos for months. But now I am unable to watch streaming videos (Youtube, VLC, Netflix) due to buffering. I think I may have Content Delivery Network (CDN) problem now. Sounds like the problem described here [https://dottech.org/103278/how-to-ma...

Clicking System Settings/Sound/Output profile caused sound to disappear

Re: Keyboard and mouse unresponsive after rebooting

I thought this might be a MOBO USB hardware problem. Not just a boot problem but made worse as PC got busier (eg playing videos). I found USB ports have completely stopped working , which fixed the problem. gm10 you were right and the problem seems quite common, so I would agree that a newer kernel ...

[SOLVED] Keyboard and mouse unresponsive after rebooting

I have an 18.3 installation on my desktop PC using wireless keyboard and mouse. If I reboot, initially both become unresponsive but they settle down for me to login and start working. Then, the behavior repeats itself, on and off. But, sometimes, if I play a youtube video, say, I can't use the mouse...

Thanks for the advice MrEen. Solved my problem by going back to return to a working 18.3 installation without wasting more of my time - as a newbie, I'll just be more frustrated ... :)
