Thanks.
Yes, Long story short, I handle things with Lutris similarly.
I also went to GitHub to have a look at e.g. the issue tracker but nothing really "stood out".
So, bottom line, I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

Re: Lutris support quietly dropped for Linux Mint (20)?
First of all, thank you for the answers, although they do not address the actual question. The ability to install Lutris, yes, it is installed on one of my Linux Mint machines as well, has very little to do with how much Lutris developers (will intend to) test the software on the LM distro. And if I...

*SOLVED* Touchpad double-click not working. It requires a triple-tap. Logitech K830
Hi all, the solution that I came across on here currently does not seem to work for that PC. I am grateful for any kind of hint that might help me to get this to work. Please bear in mind that the CLI output further down was translated by deepl.com and is slightly different to the output in English....

Re: [SOLVED, sort of] Tool to 1)rip audio CD, 2)tag the tracks AND 3)retrieve and store cover art ?
For what it's worth: Regarding Goobox, available through the LM Software Center and further information found at https://github.com/GNOME/goobox and https://people.gnome.org/~paobac/goobox/ In some cases Goobox was able to identify and tag an audio CD where Asunder failed to identify it. Admittedly ...

Re: Tool to 1)rip audio CD, 2)tag the tracks AND 3)retrieve and store cover art ?
Wow. Blazing fast response. Thanks. I'll have a look right away. /Follow-up: I installed the Qt version from 19.3 Cinnamon's software center but unless I am blind to spot the audio cd-ripping feature there does not seem to be one. But maybe it could serve as a more "lightweight" alternativ...

[SOLVED, sort of] Tool to 1)rip audio CD, 2)tag the tracks AND 3)retrieve and store cover art ?
Hi all! I'm happily running LM19.3C and had a need to rip a few audio CDs. Is anybody aware of a one-tool-solution for 1) ripping an audio CD, 2) tagging it using e.g. CDDB, freedb, musicbrainz ..AND.. 3) also retrieve the album art online and store this in either the audio files' meta data or as a ...

Re: Broadband Speed Linux vs Win10
Have you run Linux Mint off a live USB stick on his machine yet and run that same speed test? What are his transfer speeds using his ethernet port on Windows and Linux Mint? Does your router handle all connected devices equally? (Does Windows still have this "QoS" for its network stuff - i...

Re: PowerManagement + Turn off main Plasma display BUT keep USB sound card powered
After thinking about it for some time, there may be a sort of tie-in with the outputs. See if this stops the audio cutting out: In the terminal enter xed admin:///etc/pulse/default.pa and when the file opens find this section: ### Should be after module-*-restore but before module-*-detect load-mod...

Re: PowerManagement + Turn off main Plasma display BUT keep USB sound card powered
Just want to clarify something from what has been posted. The Behringer is plugged into the computer, correct? If it's plugged into a USB port on the monitor, what is happening would make sense. I just spoke with the owner of the respective PC. - plasma tv is hooked up to the computer via D-Sub (VG...

Re: PowerManagement + Turn off main Plasma display BUT keep USB sound card powered
Hi gm10, - the Amplifier wouldn't even be capable of taking a HDMI feed - the sound definitely goes through said USB sound card to the amplifier BUT you still have a valid point that I should check for the next time I get my hands on that PC. What if the sound output goes simultaneously through both...

Re: PowerManagement + Turn off main Plasma display BUT keep USB sound card powered
Hi MrEen, first of all, thanks for your time. Yes, the system is configured NOT to go into suspend/hibernation in that power management window. So as far as I can tell, it should be in ACPI S0, not ACPI S1, S2, S3, S4, S5. When the mouse is moved or the keyboard is used the machine is available more...

PowerManagement + Turn off main Plasma display BUT keep USB sound card powered
Hi, this is regarding a PC running LM19.1 Cinnamon, functioning as a home theater PC, where the main display is a large Plasma TV that consumes too many Watts to be left turned on all the time whilst only playing music (watching a movie is obviously a different use case) and the sound output to an a...

Re: Linux: video playback issues AFTER I ran XnViewMP
If I had to give it a guess I would be inclined to believe that somehow XnViewMP still manages to occupy some resources after being closed which then gets in the way of e.g. VLC. So, yeah, I shall look at processes launched and terminated - or not terminated. On a side note: I do observe the same wh...

Re: Linux: video playback issues AFTER I ran XnViewMP
Hi phd21, first of all a thank you for taking the time to respond - appreciated. I am kind of surprised that you are asking for a hardware device listing when this, at least to me, seems like a pure software issue, which the cases described below should be able to show. And because of "Case 2&q...

Hi everyone! Environment: - Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon - XnView MP Linux Version 0.93 64bits (Jan 31 2019) Problem: After having run XnViewMP I am getting the error messages by e.g. VLC such as > "VLC could not decode the format ..." This happens for WMV, MP4, FLV, just to name a few formats...

Nemo 4.0.6 / LM19.1 Cinnamon / Add column headers in grid view?
Hi all,
is there a way to have (the same) column headers from the 'list view' in the 'grid view' for sorting purposes?
Thanks in advance.
