Re: Grub Update trouble

On my daily driver (LMDE 4), all Grub updates installed as expected with zero issues. Whew! Understand this potentially affects ALL Linux distros advantaging Grub. Being 'angry' about technology not working as you'd hope or expect is the height of laughable and doesn't move the ball...shite happens,...

Re: Grub Update trouble

Frankly i'm really pissed off with this update.First you're told that this update is essential to patch a major security hole in grub2 and then the very same update ends up borking your system. What a clusterf@#!k!!! Luckily i run a triple boot system. So my solution was to boot up into PCLinuxOS and...

argentwolf. Does the sneer daemon ship with Cinnamon or do you have to compile it yourself ?
So you're not interested in LMDE, correct?

Re: MATE on LMDE4

Frustrating, people don't clearly understand Clem's immense vision with LMDE and why it will always stand apart from all the other Cinnamon distributions. It's much more then simply Cinnamon without Ubuntu, on Debian. Nowhere but LMDE do you get the honed and polished package of Cinnamon DE on Debia...

Re: Keepass is outdated

I used LastPass for years, but I made the switch and personally use and recommend KeePassXC ( https://keepassxc.org/ ). The main reason for my transition; is the clear, logical, and reasoned understanding that you cannot secure that which you do not physically control. TNO! LastPass requires you to ...

Re: LMDE 4

ok, enlighten us. You quip...right? Here, in Clem's own words: "LMDE is a Linux Mint project and it stands for “Linux Mint Debian Edition”. Its main goal is for the Linux Mint team to see how viable our distribution would be and how much work would be necessary if Ubuntu was ever to disappear. LMDE...

You clearly fail to grasp Clem's vision and appreciate the reason for the LMDE effort, along with what currently sets this product apart form the sea of Linux distros.
