Re: Lenovo 330 with RTL8821CE 802.11ac wifi adapter - kernel update breaks wifi

[edited] OK, its working now! That worked perfectly, thank you so much!

(there was another, totally unrelated issue with the router settings being toggled from 2.4ghz to 5ghz that made the difference, but I can now boot into the more recent kernel and the wifi works - sweet.)

Re: Wireless not working on Lenovo ideapad 330 w/ Mint 19 (Mate)

The dual-boot install was smooth, and the touchpad works perfectly, but wifi is missing. I've tried running driver manager, but i...

Re: [SOLVED] LM19 WiFi not showing in network settings

Update: I've also tried an older kernel, Mint 18.3 (Mate), and found the same problem - no wifi present. All of the steps shown in the successful solution for the OP seemed to work, up until the final stage, where I get the "required key not available" error, which has me stumped. Same ver...

Re: [SOLVED] LM19 WiFi not showing in network settings

Thanks for posting this - I've been having the same problem with my Lenovo ideapad 330, running Linux Mint 19 Mate from a USB stick. Wireless network is not functioning, no sign of any network. I've checked the hardware, and I have: Lenovo RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter I've follow...
