Re: Software to remove possible malware?
Quite unnecessary, and even downright bad for your security. You might find this article interesting, that I've written about security in Linux Mint: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com/p/security.html What about ClamTK ? Is that ok ? I've been using it for stuff i download. Why is it in the ...

Re: Software to remove possible malware?
Oh well is there any malware or virus software for Linux? i'd rather be on the safe side and have a deep clean. Quite unnecessary, and even downright bad for your security. You might find this article interesting, that I've written about security in Linux Mint: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot...

Does Zoom work & safe to use on Mint 20.1
My church is using Zoom for discussions and wants people to participate on the platform. I went to Zoom download website and it says Linux Mint 17.1+ (It's unclear what the + means in the download). Does the Web App sandbox web browser sites ? And can Zoom be ran through the Web if it does sandbox t...

Hopefully i don't experience that problem. I see on your reddit post that a Windows user is having the same problem so it must be a Firefox issue.

Re: Wine 6.0 update weirdness
OK. I looked it up on WineHQ and i believe there is a newer version of gecko installer with 6.0 - .2 is new & .1 older. I read the article but the info was more than i could understand, From what i did understand Wine will work with either one. I may have messed up the install of the newer versi...

Wine 6.0 update weirdness
The update manager gave me Wine 6.0 so i installed it. When i clicked on 'Configure Wine' to check the version and i got the box that says update Wine 'gecko' installer. Everything looked fine but when i clicked on install, and then the download box showed up, nothing happened, it didn't download an...

Re: Warpinator hidden files
I had something weird happen today with Warpinator as well. I removed the program from Mint 20 yesterday (because i would never use it) but for some reason a empty Warpinator folder appeared in the home directory when i stuck flash drive into my computer.

Re: Game save folders on Steam ?
Ok. It's still confusing because the game save folder is empty but i know i have game saves in the folder. I even hit "show hidden files" and the folder is empty. That's something i don't understand or am comfortable with putting anything in there. I whole heartedly believe it's a trusted ...

Re: Game save folders on Steam ?
From what i have read it should not make any difference. Like disk games sometimes you have to install a patch or a save file manually - like in the Wine folder or a Windows folder. Like in Wine or Windows it would be the Program Files (x86) folder. Only in this case it would be the Program Files (x...

Game save folders on Steam ?
I'm trying to fix a game with a save file in Linux with directions for a windows computer. I already know that .steam/steam/steamapps/common is were the games are located but there are no game save folders for this and other games in these game folders. This game only has what is called bigfile.000 ...

Compiz causing games failing to start [Solved]
This is more of a statement on Compiz for people having problems with gaming. I have 2 games that will not start (showing error messages) when Compiz is activated - Tomb Raider-The Angel of Darkness & the original Max Payne game. I just found out that F12, which is used for screenshots in Steam,...
