Re: Tessa two users freezes

No luck. I should add that I have installed intel-microcode package. Running dmsg after freezing , I copy from what I guess is the relevant part: [ 1413.227383] systemd-journald[334]: File /var/log/journal/82929df7ee394b73b81252fe3b4e5020/user-1000.journal corrupted or uncleanly shut down, renaming ...

Re: Tessa two users freezes

Thanks for your quick and kind reply! As for now, following the article you mentioned, it looks that it's solved, applying this part: Similar to what we did when we handled the network disconnects with my Realtek driver on the Lenovo G50 machine, we need a driver configuration file. Under /etc/modpr...

Re: Tessa two users freezes

I should add that the same happened with Mint 18, same machine. I guess the ouptut of dmesg is usefult after a freeze? This error appears now [ 935.691851] [drm:intel_pipe_update_end [i915]] *ERROR* Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=56451 end=56452) time 1866 us, min 894, max 899, scanline star...

Tessa two users freezes

I've got a 4gb ram Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz machine.

Whenever two users have initiated session, after a while the OS freezes.

It happens even where there are no programs running on both accounts.

Some advice?

Thanks

Re: Mint site appearance

don't do it man. antergos linux forum has what you might call a modern theme, it may look nice for a few minutes until you start using it and you realize the screen is covered by banners and floating user icons taking up most of the page. you are limited to barely a quarter of the screen when posti...

But of course I'm talking from the point of view of a web developer, wich is the reason I made the post. I'd love to make a new site for Mint. :D

As a volunteer of course

Mint logo

Too presumptuous of me. Apologies. I remade the Mint logo, as a proposal, with the following reasons: * A green border, for contrast with clear backgrouds. * No shades, wich is more modern look, and helps to blend with various backgrounds. * A stronger green, wich makes it more highlighting. This ca...

Re: Mint site appearance

Quote from https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3724 Another area we’re working on is the Linux Mint website. We purchased some beautiful designs and we’re selecting them and adapting them to turn www.linuxmint.com (and eventually also community.linuxmint.com) into websites which look more modern and whic...

Re: Mint site appearance

the Team.LinuxMint.com is an fairly small crew, & as such, I'd not hold out too much hope of any change. .. .. plus it is serving it's purpose very well as is I think it's beyond serving the purpose, which can be argued. For example, as the site is not responsive, anybody who lands in the site ...

Mint site appearance

Is there a plan to change the look on the main site? Not critisizing per se, but it looks like 8 years ago. I think Mint deserves a 2019 site looks. And it's not just the looks, but to be friendlier to the those landing in the site for the first time. Example these icons: The page is not responsive,...
