[SOLVED] Update error - timeshift

I received the attached error when updating, which asks me to report it - let me know if I should report it elsewhere please.
And do I simply paste 'dpkg - configure-a' in the Terminal window to correct the problem?
Appreciate any advice on this, thanks.

Re: 'Couldn't start Dropbox'

Thanks, the only thing that looks perhaps relevant is from your dropbox forum link, where it says: >'I had the same problem after migrating data and settings to a new Mac. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall Dropbox, but still no luck. What finally did the trick was removing the Dropbox applicat...

'Couldn't start Dropbox'

I've been successfully using Dropbox for a while, but now I'm getting the following message: 'Couldn't start Dropbox. 'This is usually because of a permissions error' I'm running Linux Mint 20.2 MATE 64 bit (on a Dell Inspiron with AMD Ryzen & Radeon), and had installed: (1) Dropbox. Cloud synch...

Mint 20 Mate - some issues

I've installed Mint20 Mate on a Dell Inspiron 3585 with Ryzen 5. Great job on Linux Mint, I feel I'm in control far more than windows - thanks. :D Two things I wonder if should be communicated to someone for future development. 1. I experienced and solved intermittent wi-fi, same as on Mint 19 Mate ...

Re: [SOLVED] laptop camera white balance

Yes, seems like they do, there's no green tinge on zoom after a reboot. This time It was very yellow but I'm now in artificial light, so I guessed it needs readjusting; I closed zoom, launched Guvcview, clicked White Temp. Balance Auto, closed Guvcview, and launched zoom giving a better colour balan...

Re: laptop camera white balance

Ok, I installed a video capture app which got rid of the green tinge. So here’s my summary for anyone else with a similar problem. OBS Studio – installed this, complex interface, clicked ‘white colour temp. auto’, made no difference to the image, took white balance temp. slider to extreme (6500) whi...

Thanks BG405, guess I'll write a new post on installing webcamoid.
Sounds like it might resolve my green tinge though. Ta.

Re: webcam image to dark

Many thanks for the info and screenshot (interesting one of a loft?!) which looks like a potential solution. But I installed webcamoid, and like all others in the reviews, it would not launch. One reviewer installed v1.0 from github which would be a new experience for me. Did you have any similar di...

Re: webcam image to dark

Hi CoyoteUK5, I have a similar problem with a Dell Inspiron - using zoom I get a green tinge which I'm told is white colour balance.
But I don't know how to access any settings for the integrated webcam.
Can you tell me how you solved your dark image?

[SOLVED] laptop camera white balance

I'm using MInt 19.1 on a Dell Inspiron laptop, the camera is giving me a green tinge which I'm told is due to incorrect white balance. Using OBS studio I can correct this by pushing the white balance slider to one extreme. However I can find no adjustment for zoom video conferencing - is there a way...

Re: Whether to upgrade

kernel - I've gone back to is 5.3.51. Think there's been misunderstanding, my problem at present is 3. in the original post as follows: 3. Sometimes the fan noise increases and the cursor response slows or even stops, requiring turning off with the on/off button and restart. 1. and 2. in the origina...
