How do I set it up so I can connect to wifi
The first step is to see if your wifi hardware has been detected. The output of the following command will show.
sudo lshw -short -c network

What other information do i need to post here to seek help?
To start, post a picture of Gparted showing your hard drive. Don't forget to click on the "view" menu and enable "show device information".

You can also post the command output:
sudo parted -l

Re: "Classic" start menu with all items displayed.

The Application Menu can coexist along with Whisker Menu on Linux Mint Xfce.

Menu whisker search is for installed programs only, does not include files or folders. However, Windows 7 or higher search does not work as expected. I miss the search on Windows XP.

Re: Linux Mint 19.2 XFCE will not shut down properly

It is not a general rule but on most modern machines we have: - a short press of the power button -> restarts the machine - a little long press of the power button -> turn off the machine They are commands by hardware. The operating system does not restart or shut down correctly. There may be corrup...

This issue with usb keyboard and mouse on Linux Mint 19.3 on AMD machines is being discussed on Linux Forums here in Brazil.

So far no solution. See for example:

Re: "Classic" start menu with all items displayed.

ZFR, Linux Mint Xfce has 2 menus: -Menu Whisker Already visible in the panel (Taskbar) -Xfce menu Not visible, but already installed. It can be placed on the panel. Much like the Classic Menu of Windows 9.x and XP (in the classic theme). Both can automatically show items contained in a category by h...

Re: menulibre "You do not have permission to delete this file."

This is not private to Mint 19.3 Xfce. In Mint 18.3 Xfce the same thing happens. Some items in the Whisker Menu and XFCE Original Menu are owned by Root and cannot be deleted by another user. Not even members of the root group can do it. The Menu Editor (menulibre) cannot now also be run as root, th...

Re: Head cleaning utility for Epson L130

In some cases, when installing the "Epson-printer-utility" utility from a package downloaded from the Epson website, the shortcut to the program is not created. In this case you must create the shortcut manually. I do not remember the folder where the "Epson-printer-utility" program is installed. If...

Re: I use translate

I use Google translate.
Without a translation engine, the participation of people from different countries in the Linux Mint English Forum would be difficult or even impossible.

Mistakes in translation or even happening to be incomprehensible text is normal.

Re: Weird file appearing in my home directory

In fact, it is a wiser and less radical procedure. The problem would be a hypothetical misbehaving program that would not completely uninstall by common methods. Believe it or not, but it exists on Linux. Chrome derivatives that say so. I don't know about these programs, but I wrinkle my nose. -Team...

Although the manufacturer's website says that only command line installation is supported, I downloaded the .deb file and simulated installation with the Package Installer. But I didn't install it, of course. Although the .deb file is 32-bit (... i386.deb) and my system is 64-bit Linux Mint 18.3, th...

The file you downloaded "linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.1-1.gz" is a compressed file. Inside it is a "linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.1-1" installation script that should be run at a command prompt (terminal window). The installation instructions are on the website itself: https://support.brother.com/g...

What is the name of this file?
It may be that it is an installation script.
On the printer manufacturer's website there should be installation instructions.

Re: Weird file appearing in my home directory

I see no other way to research the causes of the problem than with a fresh install without installing the programs listed above.

If after a while the problem does not occur, one of the programs listed above may be assumed to be the cause.

It will be a work of patience.
