Re: [SOLVED] Default Shortcut Key for MintMenu
Thanks for all the reply, and I apologise for the prolonged response. @mick55 Thank you very much, but it's not exactly what I've been looking for. However, I remember using command back when the only mouse in my PC was a serial mouse, which didn't work directly back then. :D @Pilosopong Tasyo Thank...

Re: degree symbol in emails
Or, one solution I find quite easy is to add 'character palette' to your panel. Right click on some space on the panel, select add to panel, locate 'character palette' on the utilities group, and select 'add'. It will add kind of 'palette', and it has lots of characters to add. I usually add supersc...

Re: Installing software without internet
Or, as an alternative way to track dependencies, I recommend so called apt-web (http://labs.fajran.web.id/p/apt-web/). Just unfortunately it can only track packages that exist in http://kambing.vlsm.org mirror service.

Re: How to install icons?
Hi, I don't want to mess up either, but if not, then u only got the default theme, right? Anyway, I usually open mint menu, go to preference, select theme. On opened theme window, select customise, then move to the 'icon' tab. From that tab, select install, and point to the location where you keep y...

Epson Status Monitor for Linux Mint?
Hi, After zero-filled my HDD, I put Celena on it. I know, it's a bit outdated, but my friend only have that Celena iso on his disk, so now here I go. I have Epson Stylus C41SX, and yes, as openprinting said, it "works perfectly" [1]. Remembering the old Bianca day, I had to switch to XP, j...

[SOLVED] GRUB Error 25
Hi, finally I can 'steal' sometime to do some check. I did try LiveCD, and yes, it won't mount. Then I think it's because of the Bad Sector, so I did short test provided by seatools (some kind of HDD analyser, I think) and it agree with my opinion. Then I did the long test, I left to sleep and it di...

[SOLVED] Upgrading Using Ubuntu Alternate CD
Hi, I'm back from the computer lab with a CD-RW filled with "Ubuntu 7.04 i386 Alternate CD" :D. And now, aside of any side effect mentioned in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FeistyUpgradesManual, I determined to upgrade to Feisty. If I do the steps, could it be called as "upgrading...

You're safe here. Mint uses the Ubuntu repositories already and adds its own on top of that. Well, I heard from somewhere around, we can use Ubuntu DVD as well as Ubuntu Repository DVD to be added by adding it to source.list Can I use Ubuntu Studio as a repository too? I have very limited access to...
