Hi Guys - thank's for all your suggestions - regret to say none worked . The Epson downloads install Image Scan - this reports no devices found, as does G2 scan to PDF. When I have a go at install .sh it reports no such file. So we are no further forward - except Vue Scan still works - so my scanner...

No Grub menu on Windows10/LinuxMint19 Dual boot SOLVED

I have a HP Laptop with Windows 10 installed. I have downloaded and installed Mint 19, using the "other options", and I can see this on the disk, but can't get to it. the Grub installer doesn't seem to be there or if it is doesn't work. Any ideas please.
When I boot up , I go straight into Windows.

Windows is required because the software - Burning tools, extraction and general software are only available in Windows 7 and above..

Installing Linux on Android Media Box.

Hi - has anyone an idea as to how to install a Linux Distro on to an android S905 Media Box.
I have seen many guides involving Armbian and Linux Deploy, but they all use Windows as the source. I do not have Windows only Linux Mint.
If this were t be possible it would be great.

Can't get sound working on T.V. SOLVED

I have a Laptop Pc, connected to a T.V via the HDMI cable. I have a perfect picture on the T.V. but NO sound. Strangely enough if I go to sound settings and TEST speakers this test works, but play a video nothing.I have tried fiddling with various Inputs, Outputs but still nothing. Any help please.

Hi - thanks for this - I am currently using Smart DNS - works fine for me. Not keen on the VPN route, most of the sites I use have rumbled this one ! - PIA in particular.

However if I boot up from a previous install with my USB I get a full working version which uses Kernel 4.8.0 -53, but upon restart it reverts back to the 4.10 set up. ...

Just had a lightbulb moment that worked. When I was dual Booting I had problems with the grub Loader - so I downloaded the Grub 2 ISO - which i used to recover the Grub system. Since I went Solo I don't have a Grub Menu - just boots straight into Mint.
