4gb ram SHOULD be sufficient, but i wouldn't try to do any multi tasking while editing videos, for sure.

Suspend should work. The command is sudo pm-suspend darn it. you replied as i was editing post to reflect i was asking about getting suspend to work, not hibernate. suspend works, kind of, but monitor doesn't come back on, which is what it did in windows when using sleep. i can hear the fan running...

ok, still on same version as i was in original post so i'd have to say this thing isn't updating. it will be a few days before i get on the computer that has this installed, so going to ask a head of time, how do i totally remove opera and snap?

epiphany is so limited to what you can do with it, settings/add on wise, that it's next to useless plus every time i've tried it, it does nothing but crash and burn!

stick with a more modern, up to date browser.

I updated my kernel to 4.15.0-118 on Mint 19 Mate & no errors on the last three shutdowns. Not sure if it's solved, but so far so good.

ya, ublock origin over that noscript any day. noscript does so many things, it's a wonder it doesn't crash everything!
