Re: Mint20 further issue

NO.
The same problem persists. Only opening the laptop lid allows me further action without screen tearing.
In future I will wait for x.1 in a major release before I upgrade.

Xenopeek,
Can I configure 4 boxes all with different OSs and the main one is the only one with Mint20?

Re: Warpinator questions

Hi Xenopeek,
Feem looks better for my needs than Warpinator for only one reason - it seems to be able to handle other OSes in particular Windows7. Always trying to push the envelope, with the appropriate permissions of course, could I send a file/folder to another place across town?

Re: Mint20 further issue

Hiyall,

Mint20 further issue

Hiyall, Further problems with Mint20 Cinnamon. I was advised to revert to an older kernel however the upgrade icon in the panel doesn't have the customary 'tick' inside and doesn't respond to either left or right click. Accessing it via the menu is no different. Is there a terminal command that achi...

MINT 20 Screen tearing

Hiyall especially Mint developers, Mint 20 has such severe screen tearing that it is literally impossible to use. Flashes of colour hide the screen, occasionally icons clicked don't work, shutdown icon only works when I raise the lid of the laptop (using large HP monitor 23f as 'mirror'). In a separ...

[CLOSED] Desktop shortcut

Hiyall,
I have a folder within Documents that I would like to add to the Desktop as a shortcut so info inside is the same at all times. It's easy enough in Windows.

Re: Warpinator questions

Hi Kadaitcha Man,
I'm now on separate '/' and '/home' partitions.
Re: Warpinator, does what you said above mean that I don't need to have Mint20 on the NAS drives and simply drive everything from my main computor, or did I misunderstand?

Re: Warpinator questions

Thank you Xenopeek.
While your answer is disappointing for my usage, it simply means that I'll try to get Mint20 OS on the NAS drives.
Will it work then?

Hiyall,
I now have Mint20 Cinnamon loaded. I can't get my head around Warpinator. Has anyone written a 'how to for dummies'?
I have 3 NAS drives all with different OSs. How do I get my main computer to see them?

I know it doesn't include Timeshift. Thanx for the extra thought. I've got plenty of HDD space so 10Gb here or there is not going to sweat it.

[SOLVED] Size of programs

Hiyall,
I'm about to install Mint20 however this time I'm taking the leap of faith in separate / and /home.
I fear that I have installed a lot of programs, mostly for testing. Where can I ascertain the folder size of all my programs so I can allocate the correct size to'/'?
