Is there a work-around or should I use a different system?

Gparted vs Disks and backups
Hiyall, I just had another backup nightmare. Certainly of my own doing. Gparted is definitely the far superior partitioning tool however it falls down in one very significant aspect; handing ownership from root to owner. I have tried on many occasions to use 'sudo chown -R peter:peter ./*' without s...

Jeannie,
You're answering questions I haven't asked.
Pure and simple, is there an adaptor to turns 1 and 2 into USB ports?

All of the answers are interesting but none explain the problem; either the send or the receive hard drive is USB2. Suck it up!

Learning how to partition a hard drive may be one of the most important and fundamental thing you could ever learn. Download Gparted from Menu>Software Manager.

Re: How can I install clonezilla with rufus?
USBs by their very nature, break easily. For a backup to be reliable you need at least a portable hard drive but preferably a large HDD.
