Re: How to install Wine 32-bit on Linux Mint 19 64-bit ?

I recommend PlayOnLinux, this can create a 32bit prefix in the click of a few buttons.

Re: Moved to "Graphics Cards" ___ Basic video card for Minecraft

I have a https://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desk ... rce-gt-710 installed in an older desk top which runs mine craft perfectly.
This requires no additional power supply and the nvidia drivers are installed by Mint's driver manager.

In the terminal write 'wine /path/to/your/program.exe' using the actual location of your program, usually in the home directory.

Re: [WARNING: TEST RIGS ONLY] How to upgrade today from 19 Tara to 19.1 Tessa

I have upgraded mine and there were no problems at all, it's all working fine.
There isn't an official upgrade path, the only official option is a fresh install from a DVD image. The OP's tutorial works perfectly :D

Can you post the output of a terminal when you run the program, it would help to see what the error is and perhaps what is missing.

If you don't mind potential bugs and doing a bit more work then you could try Linux mint Debian edition which uses Debian testing repos but is still a version of Mint.

Re: Nvidia Drivers - Really NASTY screen tearing

I don't understand how you are switching from nvidia to Intel drivers.
If you have a Nvidia GPU then you should use either the propriety drivers or the open source equivalent, if you have an Intel GPU then you need the drivers for that.

Re: Wine always crashes

Actually Wine can run many software's, but you have to learn how to set it up. It is like learning to use Linux, you have to practice.
I use Wine for running games and my Pnotes app from windows.

You can put a 'suspend' applet on the task bar, this will allow you to send the computer to sleep instantly with a click.
