What I normally do when things dont work is start over, I'm merely suggesting the use of the Sun Installer in that. I just downloaded NetBeans+JDK, and no more worries. Oh, btw, javac isnt installed to a pa...

It's probably best to uninstall everything and install using the installers sun has in their website.

Well, I have an ATI so I didn't play with xorg.conf, it's hard as it is to get ATI drivers to work in my PC and I love the fact that Mint comes with them working out of the box. I haven't had much time to try much, but emerald themes only work when I do compiz --replace -c emerald & after a sess...

Use "compiz --replace &" so it runs in the background and you can close the terminal. I got emerald themes to work with the -c option as I said earlier.

Compiz Fusion doesn't have a tray icon yet, about the decoration, make sure that the Window Decoration Plugin is on.

Also, try using
compiz --replace -c
instead of compiz --replace

I haven't really tried messing with emerald but I think it only sets decoration for beryl unfortunately, I think there is a CompizDecorator on the way.
You can always try reading or asking in the Compiz Forums http://forums.opencompositing.org/

On the right side of a thread name in the boards there is a small icon with an arrow, that's it.
There is also an option on the top right corner of the mains boards to view all new posts since last visit.

Don't get me wrong, I love that fact that you can do everything from the shell and that you can configure/personalize everything in linux, but sometimes I just miss some good old click and dont think kind of usage in some things and they turn out alright without any extra configuration. Oh and I did...

Instalar Compiz Fusion
