Check your motherboard for BIOS setting "PSU Idle Control" and change it to "Typical Current Idle". That definitely helps one type of Ryzen freeze problem. Prefacing this with the fact I have no solution yet. I've been having a similar issue. PC freezes, only a hard reset can bring back the OS. Interested to see if this holds up. I'm also leaning towards this being a Cinnamon problem.
I just recovered from a freeze. It's happening a lot.

I just posted a very similar thread the other day. No real help as of yet. I did take the advice of the one reply...kernel 4.20 did not go over well for me. My display was HUGE - the display ratio was way off and I had no option to change it. I quickly moved back to a timeshift restore to avoid wast...
