Update Manager Two

This is an addendum to my original Update Manager post. The sudo apt ... command works fine but it does not set the UM permanently. I have to enter the commands every time a new update shows up. Re: Update manager

The sudo apt ... command works when there is a new update. After issuing the command whatever update is listed will execute but only for that one time. When the next update comes in I have to issue the command again and so forth. What is going on? Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Update manager

At first it looked like the sudo apt *** commands solved the problem but now I have to issue the commands every day to have the system update. Any ideas?

Re: Update manager

I noticed that UM did not update immidiately when an update is detected by the system. Is there a specific time delay between the acknowledgement of an update and the time it actually updates? sometime there seems to be an extremely long time between the actions.

I just installed LM 20.0 but I don't like any of the background themes available. Anybody know how to copy the backgrounds pictures from LM 19.3 over to 20.0?

Re: Can't connect to wi-fi

Since the work at home situation, ALL internet connections have been very slow. The reason is that both those businesses that are on line and the people working from home are using up a lot of bandwidth, I usually get on line later in the evening when businesses are closed and mainly private people ...
