Re: Adobe install

Thanks Larry but it wasnt quite solved as chrome decided to "peel and was acting ornery. So I removed chrome and for some reason Firefox decided it did want to work after all so it is now solved.

Re: Adobe install

It's OK , I nutted it out myself. Any newbies that want to access adobe connect you have to download chrome to run it, as linux apparently doesn't support Flash.

kernel updates

I am currently running 18.3 Cinnamon 64 bit version 3.6.7 and my kernel is 4.15.0-43-generic. My update manager has informed me that kernel 4.15.0-45.48~16.04.1 is available. Re: Newcomer here! From W10 to Ubuntu to Linux Mint

It is unfortunate that I have to announce I hold dual citizenship. Due to some programmes that I want to hold on to, my laptop dual boots and co-habits with Windows7.

Re: Hi from a new Mintie

Hi Skye, it seems that this is a common occurrence. Like myself I have know about Linux for years and through a dislike of the other OS out there tried Linux but was too busy to sit down and seriously work with it. Years later near retirement with extra time on our hands, have rediscovered the wonde...

Re: Hi from Australia.

At the moment I am running 18.3 "Sylvia". I was scoping out 19 and 19.1 versions but being conservative I thought that if it isn't broken, don"t bother fixing it.

Re: Hi from Australia.

Thanks Wharf Rat. I have been a fan of Linux for years ever since a colleague put me on to it in the late 90's. I have always disliked Windows and wasn't a great fan of Macintosh either so I dabbled with various flavours and incarnations of the OS during this time but due to work commitments I could...
