Hi, I really will appreciate if somebody has experienced this problem and can give me a hand on it. With Linux Mint 19.1 it happened sometimes (lately more frequently) and it wasn't solve with 19.2. Randomly doing different actions (I haven't reach a pattern of this issue), like openning Lollypop (m...

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer.
I will change it, but my guess is that some app is causing it, but I cant figure out which one.

Re: No audio sessions randomly

Hi MrEen, After somedays with no issue and more than 100 times reboot (trying to force the issue) today I have again the no audio problem. I have run the command you told me dmesg | grep -C1 -E 'ALSA|HDA|HDMI|snd[_-]|sound|hda.codec|hda.intel' [ 0.061914] ACPI: Added _OSI(Linux-Dell-Video) [ 0.06191...

Re: No audio sessions randomly

MrEen, Just a thought. I believe the value (in hexadecimal) of Amp-Out vals is only related with the volumen level at that moment in the computer. Everytime that I change the volumen level I get a different hexadecimal value ( up to 0x00 when the volumen level is to 0). So probably that value was di...

Re: No audio sessions randomly

Wooooowwwwww, I mean....I am speechless, totally impressive. It is something that not in a million of years I could determine as the cause of the issue. The output of the first command is: amixer -c0 contents numid=41,iface=CARD,name='HDMI/DP,pcm=10 Jack' ; type=BOOLEAN,access=r-------,values=1 : va...

Re: No audio sessions randomly

I found the kernel 4.18 and installed it, but it speed up my fans without any program opened when usually they are not running in low workflows, so I came back to the kernel 4.15 via Timeshift, I can't stand with fans working all the time, so for now I prefer not to install that kernel version.

Re: No audio sessions randomly

If suspending/resuming gets back the audio at least is not the worst scenario, but if I could have it working properly will be fantastic. 1. In my Update Manager the latest kernel version I can install is the one I have (4.15.0-47), it doesn't show the kernel 4.18. Besides, the one I am using it say...

Re: No audio sessions randomly

Mr Een, it's really kind of you your explanation and it is a luxury for us that you can take the time and share your knowledge between those than don't have it, like me. I installed alsamixer sometime ago and I checked it for a while because people recommended it at forums. So I only have MM at the ...

Hi MrEen, Whatever I do when is not working doesn't recover the audio, except a reboot (and not always, sometimes I have to do it several times). Here is the info when it happened this morning: 1. This is when is not working: dmesg | grep -C1 -E 'ALSA|HDA|HDMI|snd[_-]|sound|hda.codec|hda.intel' [ 0....
