Importing Approach database files
I am moving from Windows 7 to Linux MInt 19.3 and have several Lotus Approach databases - mainly just lists of music, videos, books etc. I need a database manager which will import these files since I do no wish to have to create them all again. My bookshelf holds 1,200 items at present. I managed t...

Re: Removing Linux MInt from dual boot system
"You might remember how much space you allocated to Mint while creating the dual boot." I never set any space just allowed LInux to do its own thing. THe result is shown in the Gparted diagram on my post of 18/8/20 10.20. asinore - Since I have already deleted the Linux partition ( my post...

Re: Removing Linux MInt from dual boot system
The first thing I did was to try to extend the Windows partition but at this stage the option 'Extend' is greyed out and unavailable. There are obviously many options for managing partitions but I have no idea where this shortage of space is located. Is it in the Windows partition, the potentially d...

Re: Removing Linux MInt from dual boot system
Thank you. It looked a very clear and simple solution. After checking all data etc. I moved to Win7, identified the 75GB NTFS as Windows, right clicked on the 153GB Linux partition and clicked 'Delete Volume'. This produced the green box of free space so I clicked on 'Delete Volume' again. This prod...

Re: Removing Linux MInt from dual boot system
IMGUR is new to me and I regret I cannot determine how to use it to upload. Above you will see the results of my first effort but after reading several posts I am still unable to proceed. I have not had this trouble posting images on other forums.

Removing Linux MInt from dual boot system
I created a dual boot system on my laptop to experiment with LM. I have now moved to a dual boot system on my desktop and wish to continue to use the laptop just for Windows for the few programs I have not yet transferred to LM to obviate the laborious process of moving between operating systems. Th...

Re: Canon LBP6200 printer not working
For no particular reason I repeated my attempt to get the Canon printing and received the same messages, that is 'printing' and then 'printing completed' but with no actual printing. Some days later I noticed that there was a notification indicated in the Panel and this read as follows -"Status...

Booklets with Boomaga on a HP LaserJet
I am using LM 19.3 and have used Boomaga to print booklets on a networked Canon Pixma without difficulty. I have now installed a networked HP LaserJet Pro M118dw with duplex. I can print full page duplexed output with and without Boomaga but if I choose Boomaga for booklets it prints half a page and...

Re: HP Laserjet Pro M118dw
Well that was confirmed by actually printing to the Canon. However, I have some further information. I am actually working on a dual boot system with Windows 7 so I turned to Windows since HP provides a plethora of information for Windows but little for Linux. I was actually trying to set it up for ...

Re: HP Laserjet Pro M118dw
Thank you. I ran the shortened version as you suggested but apart from a short interval the cursor returned and nothing happened.
