See the reddit thread that thx-1138 already linked you to in your other thread about installing this game...
You mean this thread by phd21? https://www.reddit.com/r/wakfu/comments ... untu_1804/
It didn't work. :(

Hi ezau_primo,

You are welcome...

What Java application(s) are you trying to use?
I want to install a game called Wakfu, so far I know it needs Java Oracle. It's just to run the game xD

Re: How to install Java 8

Thanks for the help :) I just decided to install it via ppa, cause I realized the amount of things that I'll need to read just to install Java. I've been searching how to install this the whole day and I'll spend hours ahead to get it. I didn't want to install it via ppa, but it's much more easier. ...

[Solved] How to install Java 8

Hi, people. I just downloaded Java 8 on the site, but I can't install it. Java's site says something about how to install it, but it's not really clean. Now I have the .tar.gz archives. But how I do to install the java? Which command should I run in the terminal (after extract the archives)? Thanks ...

If the developer doesn't link to it themselves it's usually not official. But you can just contact the developer and ask.
I think I'll do that. It's easier than download the archives and try to install it (I don't know how to do that yet xD)
Thanks :)

You can't be sure. PPA's are the Wild West: there are cowboys and indians; some are reliable, some are unreliable.
lol man. so it's like a savage land. I thought it would have some guarantees xD.
Thanks :)

[Solved] About ppa's developers

Hey. How you're doing? I want to install the game Wakfu, and I've found a ppa of it. The ppa name says "Ankama Games packages". My question is: how can I be sure that is the real Ankama (the owner of the game)? So far, I imagine someone could create a user (or something like that) and claim to be An...

Re: About changing the Linux Mint edition

That's why I said it's not recommended but it's an option if you do a single-partition install and want to preserve some data on it. In such a situation you may decide to delete everything except paths like e.g. /home or /usr/local. Basically the same idea as with your separate home partition. Sure...

Re: About changing the Linux Mint edition

This should work, yes. I've done this as a way to upgrade from 17.3 to 18, and from 18.3 to 19.1, with success. BUT I would still make a backup of all data that matters to you. Better safe than sorry! Note that if you leave your /home intact and switch to a different desktop environment, you may en...

Re: About changing the Linux Mint edition

Sure, nobody forces you to format anything. You don't even need to format the / root partition, although it is very strongly recommended. This is assuming you are using the "Something else..." installation option, which gives you full control. That mode will also not create any partitions, but if i...

Re: About changing the Linux Mint edition

You don't need to format home but if it's an option then it would be good to wipe your user's home folder (i.e. the settings in it). That way you prevent any overlap there. But it's not crucial, either way works. You could even install the MATE desktop to your existing system without reinstalling a...

If you open edit/preferences then Home https://forums.linuxmint.com is where the home icon takes me.

Inside that box which you have "forums.linuxmint.com" I have "about:newtab".
It's strange for me, but it's working xD.

Re: Firefox dont change the start page [Solved]

I think the problem here was that even when the home button URL was empty, it still was directing to the linux mint page. The way I did (dragging the new open tab and dropping it above the home button) it settled the home button to this URL: about:newtab Now, when I click on it, the browser goes to ...

Re: Can I copy the archives from windows 7 to linux mint in dual boot? [Solved]

Well, there you go. Mom's notebook counts as another device. 8) hahahahha. That's true xD. I mean, Linux mint kinda told me to create a backup using Timeshift. I did, but the backup it's only on the linux system xD. But before I download the installer I transferred all the archives like mp3 and pdf...
