NO - most likely Not .. on any Linux based machine:
- you may have to use the cloud based Turbo Tax Return .. instead of the Installed version.
What is that?

Re: Adobe Flash update

I have no idea whatsoever why kamie had to reboot in order see the new flash plugin. I have never had to do so. I do not even have to log off and log back in. Closing Firefox, starting Firefox has always been sufficient. Best regards, Karl Well, I do you one better.................... Before I open...

Re: Adobe Flash update

I'm the person who posted this problem last week. I followed Karl's directions to the letter, and thought I failed. I tried everything in fact..............nothing worked I thought, then I restarted my computer and had the latest update. Just a thought. I don't have a clue about all of this so that'...

Re: Adobe Flash update

Karl,

I'm the person who posted last Friday with this issue.

I've tried everything in this tread and am still stuck on the old version of flash. Is there anything I can do other than wait?

Re: What version of Flash should I choose?

Karl, Thanks for the response, but a couple of things I don't understand. You said "yet" why? Plus every silly game I play tells me I need to update flash. Before this reply, I did go back and try to update but you where right, I'm up to date. Lastly the one game I play 5 roll, hasn't loaded since t...

What version of Flash should I choose?

FF says I need to update Adobe Flash player. When I click it I get several options to download.

APT for Devian/Ubuntu
Yum for Linux
.tar.gz for Linux
.rpm for Linux

So which do I choose?
Why hasn't this update came with my update manager?
Any help is great.

Re: "Solved for the moment" Update manager again?

That's strange because it isn't included by default and Chromium isn't either. Only FF. Who did the install? If it's installed, you can check by opening Synaptic and search for google-chrome-stable. Of course you can just look in Menu>internet. If there you can use Synaptic, or Software Manager to ...

Wouldn't it also work to download the newest version of Chrome and install it?
If this was directed at me............
I don't use Chrome, just FF, so no idea.

If not, try this:

Code: Select all

 sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 78BD65473CB3BD13

Code: Select all

 sudo apt update
I ran both back to back, hope that was right? Seems to have fixed the issue.
Thanks,

Re: Update manager again?

You could try this: open the Update Manager>edit>software sources>maintenance>fix mergelist problems. Followed your instructions, said it was fixed, refreshed and it didn't work. Then this message. GPG error: http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb stable Release: The following signatures couldn't be...

A break between the middle of December and the first week of January is perfectly normal.
Christmas days and New Year's day. Lazy period of the year with respect to publishing software updates.
Thank you.

Solved - No updates?

Sorry for a stupid question, but I haven't had any updates since last week. Is something wrong on my end or is the normal for the time of year?
Usually I have at least a couple updates everyday except weekends.

Re: Yahoo mail problem

I can't say why it's happening on occasion now and not before myself. When I clicked Reply to type this, the edit box didn't have focus, and sometimes this happens to me when I don't set the focus first. That's how I knew what might be causing it for you. I imagine some scenarios have the edit box ...

Re: Yahoo mail problem

Hi kamie. I'm thinking this might be your issue; open the browser to the Yahoo email compose page. If the cursor isn't flashing in the compose box, press your space bar and I'm betting the "box will shoot to the top". Now go get the box back in view and click inside to get the cursor flashing in th...

[SOLVED] Yahoo mail problem

My details are below. I have not added anything to Mint, since getting a full Mint install. Nothing not one program. My browser is FF. All updates are installed. This is just a trivial problem, but I'm curious if there is a solution. The problem is "sometimes" when typing in yahoo email, the type bo...
