Error Message Related to Wine Repository

I installed Wine-Stable, but it wasn't working for me, so I uninstalled it from Software Manager. I noted in terminal that the removal was complete, because I also ran the terminal command to remove it, and it says it's not there. However, I frequently get this error message related to Wine on Updat...

Re: Problems Reinstalling Linux Mint (Solved)

Thanks for responding. Since I've reinstalled everything is working beautifully. I couldn't uninstall Wine or Quicken for which I used Wine to install. Each time I tried the programs remained, but since Quicken wasn't working properly on Linux, then that's okay, so once I reinstalled the system, I d...

Re: Problems Reinstalling Linux Mint (SOLVED)

I happened to have two USB with Linux Mint Installation boot files on them, so I plugged them both in, and the USB option came up, and the machine booted to one of them. That's my workaround, and I'm happy enough with it because it works. :-) Also, Digital Dementia is becoming very prevalent, and ta...

Problems Reinstalling Linux Mint

Hello, I just successfully installed Linux Mint today, but some issues have come up that I can't seem to remedy, so I would like to reinstall and get a fresh start. For some reason Timeshift did not take any snapshots, so this is my only option. When I originally installed in the boot list was USB d...

Re: How to verify the ISO image on Windows [SOLVED]

It worked, but the solution was purely accidental. I already had the original gpg file in the folder, so when I went to save the new one, I wanted to keep the original, so I named the one I was saving with the number 1 in it, and it saved correctly. Thanks for all of your help. I've test-driven Linu...

Re: How to verify the ISO image on Windows

I think I might have it. I did the save as to that gpg file again, but I added the number 1 to the name, and this time it saved as gpg file rather than a text file. I'll get back to you, but I think this might work. Now I've renamed it to the proper name, and we'll see how it goes.

Re: How to verify the ISO image on Windows

I did the right click with "Saved As" for those files with the same results. :(

Re: How to verify the ISO image on Windows

I was forewarned that I might get abused for being an ignorant, non-technical, Windows user by veteran Linux users, but I'm desperate for an answer. Certainly the experience will probably not be as bad as my childhood. :D I followed the instruction on this thread, and I was able to verify the ISO te...
