Re: Mint Archiver Does Not Work
you do need to be seriously patient, when dealing with any Archive of any serious size, - - it can take a good deal of time, to operate it's given function. Hi Pierre and Flemur. I was zipping this folder as an informal quick backup. PeaZip was able to compress the folder to a standard zip file in ...

Re: Mint Archiver Does Not Work
Ok. I've got most of my other really important stuff done and decided it was time to revisit this. Installed PeaZip and ran it on the previously mentioned folder. PeaZip created a standard zip file in about 1 minute and it was also a little faster unzipping the zip file. I messed with PeaZip for abo...

Re: Mint Archiver Does Not Work
"It took 25 minutes for the......" Oh good lord, I didn't have that much patience. :-) The longest I waited before hitting the cancel button was about 5 minutes. The progress bar never moved and six-core CPU was pegged at 100%, It took less than a minute to compress it with the tar.gz form...

Mint Archiver Does Not Work
Fresh install of Mint 19.3 I have a folder that has 7,328 items and weighs about 2.1 GB. I can right-click on the folder and compress it to the .tar.gz format using Archive Manager that comes with Mint. When I try to do the same thing, but as a .zip or .7z, CPU utilization pegs out at 100% and just ...

Change Default Link Behavior
Hi everybody. In Nemo, is there a simple way to create shortcuts that work in the same manner as Windows shortcuts. Currently, if I create a link on my desktop that points to /xx/yy/zz and I name that link MyLink, when I double click the link it opens the file manager and the address bar contains /h...

Re: What happened to Cinnamenu?
Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
It works great in every version I have used. If I upgrade to 19.3 from 19.2, will the upgrade wipe out my current version of Cinnamenu?
Also, is there any contact info for the author so that I might be able to get the source code for it?

What happened to Cinnamenu?
One of the reasons I switched from Mate to Cinnamon was the Cinnamenu applet. I am running 19.2 and I have used Cinnamenu on every install I do, but I can no longer find it as an option. Does anybody know what happened to it or the author?
