Re: [19.2] Lenovo Yoga Tab 1051 Bluetooth&WiFi driver?

Run these 2 commands Thanks JeremyB. I exported the report but I guess it's no longer needed, because I updated the kernel as suggested above and it worked. I've edited ip's etc. https://pastebin.com/wQ5zsfqH The sound however, either speakers nor if plugging headphones still doesn't work. install ...

[19.2] Lenovo Yoga Tab 1051 Bluetooth&WiFi driver?

I have a Lenovo Yoga Tab 1051l with mint 19.2 64bit and I have a problem with bluetooth&wifi adapter (Broadcomm BCM43241) . The only thing somehow related that I could find was this: https://daduke.org/linux/yoga.html https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Thinkpad/Tablet8#Bluetooth But I am qui...

[Cinnamon Nemo] Removing additional icon from the panel?

Is it somehow possible to hide some program icon from the panel that I don't want?

For example I am using program called JDownloader and second icon appears when the JD is running.
This icon says "Java Embedded Frame" and have no visible content.

[Cinnamon Nemo] Change name on double click improvement?

I am not sure what exactly might be responsible for that, but comparing to the windows I felt that changing file/folder name by double click (the option that we can turn on in mint) was working better there, meaning, in mint many times when I wanted to just open the file/folder, system reacted as if...

I doubt there'd be any way around that.
It would be to complicated or again to power consuming to do such a thing?

Re: File manager additional collumns with audio tags info like album, track etc. . [Linux mint nemo file manager]

Thanks @smurphos that seems great! Beware it can make nemo a little slower to open folders with lots and lots of files. I wish I know programming so that I could try to add a option to 1) show those additional columns if most files in certain folder are audio files and 2) to make setting for disabli...

File manager additional collumns with audio tags info like album, track etc. . [Linux mint nemo file manager]

Is it somehow possible, at least theoretically, to have in Nemo file manager some tag columns for audio files like for eg. author, track, album etc.? I know there is the thing like custom actions in Nemo but I googled and search this forum and strangely I could not find anything about it concerning ...

Re: Create, make your own customize, personalized linux mint?

@edited the topic name to be more precise However, you could write a customization script that could be run after a fresh install and it would do all the work easily. Funny thing because it also came to my mind today and just wanted to write question about it. Thanks. So but I still don't know where...

If you try it I'd appreciate if you let me know how it goes so I could make a mention in the guide.
Thanks for clarification, although I don't plan to test it in near future, sorry.

Note that some file systems like btrfs do not support swap files
Does it means that if I decide to install Mint on BTRFS partition, I won't have swap system at all and will be limited only to my ram memory?

Re: Create, make your own customize, personalized linux mint?

You can then restore that image to other machines provided their hard disk is at least the same size as the disk on the machine that the image came from. Hmm, I'm not sure if I'm getting it. You mean to "put" those files to destined PC new partition for that purpose and then somehow install grub an...

That's why we have disk imaging software, such as clonezilla.
I don't understand what you mean.

I will try to understand the things in the link you gave and give it a try if that's the only way.

Create, make your own customize, personalized linux mint installator?

I was wondering, if it's possible(easy and not time consuming) for normal PC user to somehow create his own personalized linux mint installation image already with all custom settings and per-installed software? (I was not sure into which forum section put this question, so please move it to appropr...

Just for someone who would have similar problems and lack of understanding:

I guess one can inspect and probably find a cause/s by googling and learning how to use functions as top iotop etc.

Sure. Meanwhile, here and now, your choices are fix Timeshift or turn it off. Personally, I think it's worth fixing. It's fixed but I was just waiting to finish this conversation and also hoped to get maybe some hits for this: ...I am not even sure if it's possible to for example show 1000 files fro...

Re: Filling the sys HDD to 100% full, no free space = could not login. How to manage?

You should figure out which applies to you and fix it, rather than hoping it will be fixed by the developers. It's not so much about me and my issue, but rather in general I had in mind others like me, meaning newcomers to linux or even PC's and to prevent such situations in future, so that neither...

Re: Filling the sys HDD to 100% full, no free space = could not login. How to manage?

Thanks again Pjotr Btw. I am learning the terminal function ls and sort , but it seems tough task, I am not even sure if it's possible to for example show 1000 files from whole partition, sort by date, created on the day that it crashed(11/10/2019) ? Try contacting them. Don't hold your breath, thou...
