Re: Linux mint LogoS as Fonts for Conky!

There is one that is a bit of a start, I think it's called 'Rothwell' There aren't really many letters in it that really "go" with Mint, though.

Re: Grassy Paper

OK thanks. I was really meaning suggestions for the wallpaper - filezilla couldn't upload it to my site because it is too big.

So yeah, any comments for improvements to the wallpaper?

Grassy Paper

Hey Minters I just whipped up this wallpaper using a few other people's elements - the grass from http://macpcfirstaid.com/misc.htm/ and the papery thing from http://richworks.in/2010/01/create-a-crumbled-paper-effect-in-photoshop/ - and 'wazzed that up' to create this: http://therobberdotcom.vndv.c...

Re: Alternative Mint Icon/Logo

Uuaauum yeah, I'm not sure if in Mint you can change an individual icon, or just the whole set.
Thanks for the feedback!

Re: SimpleMint wallpaper using my alternative logo.

I'm fine with comments/criticism/nitpicking - that's basically how Mint was created and how it is evolving. It might not be very visible in the small preview, but the 'cutout' actually is cutout, so the gradient does show through.

SimpleMint wallpaper using my alternative logo.

I created a alternative logo recently - http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=35929 and it inspired me to create a very simple wallpaper (hence the name). Link to a .zip with .psd and .png formats for both 1600x1200 and 2560x1600 - http://therobberdotcom.vndv.com/Random%20uploads/SimpleMi...

Re: Alternative Mint Icon/Logo

Any suggestions for a wallpaper/theme/improvements?
@vrkalak: It's a Photoshop file, so I'm not sure if the drop shadow filter will come through in GIMP.

Re: Alternative Mint Icon/Logo

Slightly altered the shape, moved the text, made the highlight more subtle and added a little stripe thingy for the 'vein' of the leaf. In the PSD you can see that the "mint" lettering is a see-thru cutout. Thanks vrkalak for the vote of confidence!

Alternative Mint Icon/Logo

Hi all you Mint-ers I was a bit bored this weekend, so I decided to have a go in Photoshop at making an alternative logo. I used the Rothwell font, as that was the closest I could find to the actual font. It's a lot simpler than most other 'alternative' logos, but it is similar enough to the origina...
